So as you might know, I've had a Motorola SLVR for the last year and a half (see Phone fun).

Motorola SLVR

It was supposed to have iTunes, but since it's an International version, it doesn't.

I was, needless to say, unimpressed.

The phone is fine, I rather enjoy how small and thin it is, but the camera just sucks. I really wish I didn't spend as much money on it as I did on it. But that was back when I thought the rainmaker job of all jobs was right around the corner.

It wasn't.

Anyway, now that we're in the middle of planning our return to the States, I've been doing a little research into the cell phone situation back home. See, here in Dubai there's a monopoly on the phone industry, so you know, that doesn't really foster much competition.

But in the States, it's nuts.

Anyway, in all of my research I've found a link to the new Sony Ericsson W890i.

Apparently it's not even out in the States yet, I'm not even sure if it's out in Europe, but it's awesome.

It's even smaller than the SLVR - the SLVR's dimensions are 113 x 49 x 11.5 (all millimeters), and the W890i is 104 x 46.5 x 10. And it has a 3 megapixel camera.

Sadly, it's a Walkman, so there's no iTunes ...

This time, though, I might wait to see what kind of job I land before I go spend a bundle on a phone ...
